The last clips were muddy, boring and lacked any depth. I've messed with mic positioning and I found that for me, the best placement is really really close to the cabinet and in between the right speaker cone and the left outside part of the right speaker. Highs are coming through better and there is less of that overbearing bass.
The songs haven't cleared quite yet, but by tomorrow they should be perfect... in the meantime, there is the lo-fi versions up
Let me know what you guys think. I tried to run the gamut of tones on these clips. It goes pretty much from sparkly clean to light breakup bluesy tone, plexi-ish type stuff, Marshall-esque modern gain crunch and of course, a killer high gain tone complete with some compression
If you listened to the clips before and thought they were garbage, please give these a try. I feel it represents the amp much better
