The last clips were muddy, boring and lacked any depth. I've messed with mic positioning and I found that for me, the best placement is really really close to the cabinet and in between the right speaker cone and the left outside part of the right speaker. Highs are coming through better and there is less of that overbearing bass.

The songs haven't cleared quite yet, but by tomorrow they should be perfect... in the meantime, there is the lo-fi versions up :)

Let me know what you guys think. I tried to run the gamut of tones on these clips. It goes pretty much from sparkly clean to light breakup bluesy tone, plexi-ish type stuff, Marshall-esque modern gain crunch and of course, a killer high gain tone complete with some compression ;)

If you listened to the clips before and thought they were garbage, please give these a try. I feel it represents the amp much better :)

Thanks for the replies guys... that was what it was supposed to sound like in the first place :)

Anybody else? Good/bad... I can take it ;)

Thanks Solo Guitar Stewie for the playing comment, but I still have A LOT of learning to do :laugh2: I wish I could say I'm a good guitarist, but I'm not even close yet (7-8 years of playing by ear and teaching myself and a month ago is the first time I really started studying guitar). My soloing definitely needs a lot of work. But thank you for the comment, it'll push me to be even better :)
