OK, my Seths are in (need soldering) but got a nice surprise :)

Hey guys.

My Seths are in my Gibby LP!

They need soldering up, but that shouldn't take too long. But as it is whenever I want to do something, my soldering iron is bust!

My friends on his way over now with his, so hopefully I'll have my LP re-strung and playing within the hour

What I found when I removed the old pickups from my guitar surprised me quite a bit:

My LP had 2 bridge Duncan 59's in it! :saeek:

Anyways, i'll post back when I have the Seths fitted and re-strung.

Haha awesome!!! You didn't like how they sounded? Now you can just sell those, pay for your seth's!

I hope you like them. I really like my SL bridge and 59n. I like the 59b also, but the SL bridge cuts the mix a little better with my rig.

OK, I got the Seth's soldered and inplace in my LP and :saeek: :saeek: :saeek: :saeek: :saeek:

I can't believe how great these pups sound! I've only tried them thru my 10w Marshall practise amp as of yet (its too late to try em out on a real amp) but I know i'm gonna love em when I get my JTM60/JCM800 cranked up!

I'll be sure to make some clips when the house is empty I can crank an amp up Now all of my guitars have Duncan's, I'm gonna re-do all the clips I posted a while ago. Now that I have a better amp and have generally become a better guitarist

Are your Seths potted or unpotted and have they got 2 or 4 wires? - just curious as in my Hamer Artist Custom they are unpotted and have 2 wires, but I have to say that they are lovely pups are highly recommended and they just give that lovely sound - everything from blues, rock and also some good ole country - they will have a tendency to feedback and they will be lower output so be prepared to crank up your amp.

Finding those Duncan '59's are a bonus but I fancy someone must have put those in afterwards - strange having both bridge pups in there - must have been the reason why you perhaps did not like them. Anyway enjoy the new tones.

Hi Norman.

The Seth's I bought were removed from a Hamer Artist Custom. They're un-potted (as far as I know) and have the traditional hot wire and metal braid.

When I bought the LP the guy I bought it from said that 1 pup was stock and the other was maybe a Gibson 57 Classic.

I'm very looking forward to trying these pups through a decent amp. That's tonights job after I've finished work and the house is empty
