ErikH Well-known member Dec 21, 2021 #23 Last time I made an amp foot switch I used a Hoover vacuum cleaner switch. It worked perfect and was smooth. Those switches are heavy duty too.

Now that I look at it, it seems the gauge wire you used may be too thin. A signal with that much voltage on it needs a hearty wire. You definitely need at least 4-6 AWG wire in there. :13:
