Now what? Really I'm at work but I scored a used CM comp and it just arrrived. Just looking for some advice on maybe a good place to start for settings. Some of your replies to my comp questions lately made me feel like I'd like to know how you are using it.
Anybody else, please feel free to chime in too. I'd love to hear how you're all using yours.

Look under products, find the comp, and click on the manual link.
The first setting is what I use, have the threshold at about 2, comp the same place as on the setting, same with resp, and gain to where it fits with unitygain.
Alittle more than on the setting showed, a hair over 12.
Then I switch it on, and have not turned if off for a very long time now:)
Bought it long before I started to work at CM as well.
It is not an effect, this is a real tool, and it is a true compressor, not based on anything else on the market, it is all controlled by a superfast chip, that costs quite a few coins, even in bulk..hehe
Hope that it will work for you, it is not a plug and play comp.

Thanks, sounds good, I'll start there. But like I said before, this is a tall pedal compared to most. It must be almost 3 inches tall! No big deal, just different.

Crybaby;)
Well if you do it right, you are not going to give it much attention afterwards.
Here is a sample of the new box for it!

No those are the new housings:)
Coming soon, we will probally release those later this year, my housing is from a battery pedal.
The new housing is like a half Plexitone in width, and same height.
The HDB's and the comp, the phaser, and the battery pedals we make here in DK will all go in that housing.
