okay, more amp advice please!

You all probably hate me for always asking what amp to get but its just so hard when i dont have a bunch of dough!

so lets say i sell my valve jr and the cab together for around 300. and sell my 140 watt crate 2X12 for 100 or something. add some more money and i could conceivably get a much better amp.

if make my target price between 400 and 600 (maybe 700,ha) then what would you suggest for someone who likes headroom but also loves to crank tube amps. all-tube is my preference unless you can convince me that a hybrid is equally satisfying.

Old Musicman amps are nice...some of them are Solid PRE/Tube Power hybrids, but they're VERY good sounding...Peavey Classics are a good choice...30 or 50. Traynor makes nice stuff in that price range. Maybe a 50 watt Ampeg Reverocket, also VERY good and warm. That's a start, anyway.

haha touche. yeah i checked out the f30 like you suggested, dont worry haha

i only found it in a 1X12 combo though. i really need a head, or at least 2X12

i was thinking about a vox ac15, you can find them for pretty cheap, and they have good cleans right?

Fender Blues Jr. or some other small combo amp...or just keep your valve jr.

or the orange tiny terror, although they're not designed for headroom
