How about your favorite middle pickup for Strat? Has anyone found one that they like on its own?

I have not. I never use the middle pickup except combined with the bridge or neck. I like it to be identical to the neck pickup so it sounds sweet and chimey combined with it. That N & M combo or the neck by itself is where I spend most of my time when I play my Strats...those are my two favorite rythym tones.

How would a hotrails match up with a full shred neck pickup, compared to a JB jr.

Surfer Antiquity II or SSL-1 would do. For my 3 pickup Les Paul, a 59N middle.

my classic stack middle pickup on my jackson is awesome... i hardly use full on neck mode.
