Old Duncan Neck Pup ID please!

Hey there, long time reader, first time poster,

I have an old Duncan neck humbucker, around early 80's (Zebra coils) that I think is a 59.

The baseplate is solid metal with wax residue on it, and the plate is stamped with the SD logo. There is a paper label on it that in very faded ink says "JNP" (as best as I can read it, it's pretty blurred from the wax potting).

It has a 2 conductor, shielded cable with a black and gray fiber wire, and what looks like pre-tinned copper wire under it.

I bought it in the 80's from a dealer in St Louis, MO who installed it in a Ibanez RS525 that I recently stripped for the pups.

After checking out the wiring job, and transactions that I had with them later in life, I learned they were pretty untrustworthy. They can't fake the fact that it's a Duncan, the metal stamping clears it, but which one the put in is the question...

Duncan historian buffs please help me out!!

seems like a Jazz neck to me by the description of the sticker... hmmm

Re: Old Duncan Neck Pup ID please!

Thank you sir! Exactly what I wanted to know!

It was supposed to be a 59. Got to know it's more proof to never deal with them again.:9:
