Old Seymour Zebra?

I just received a Seymour Duncan cream and black humbucker that has the letters "DD" on the back along with a blue and silver sticker that reads "Seymourizer". What is it and when was it made? Thanks

No way to give it a definite year... but we can give you a time frame if you post good pics of the top and bottom.

Its an SH6N aka distortion neck model probably early 80's but without pics wouldnt be willing to lay money on it.

Are you sure the blue and silver sticker doesn't say "Seymourized"?

I thought I read somewhere the DD neck was originally labeled Seymourizer?

Then again, given the age, half the "d" could have worn off, so it looks like "r".

Yes the dd neck was the seymourizer.

Though all I have ever seen either say seymourizer II or DD neck. The older seymourized labels that masta c brought up don't use the DD labels but instead say Duncan distortion. Not the abbreviation.

This is why I asked for pics

Lots of early rewinds got the "Seymourized" sticker, as well.

Its possible its a rewind if it actually reads seymourized instead of seymourizer, but without pics and DC readings its anyones guess really.
