That's a newish iPhone sort of balancing on a treadmill. The loud volume was causing it to move a bit and the image stabilization gave it some nice vintage wow and flutter. Cracked me up.

Sounds like Marc Alfs got pretty close on the sourness with the Skreddy Echo. I look forward to hearing it after a tune-up. Where can you buy tape from these days? I mean, I just don't see it anyome ... like Radio Shack etc.

I can't imagine touring with these things though. Just bumping them throws them all out of whack. Everyone I know who has collected old tape echoes has had to learn how to rebuild them. I wonder how the new crop of actual tape echoes compare to the vintage ones (restored).

such a cool sound, even if it is in need of some love. i agree about touring with it though, cant imagine having to have three of them just incase one goes down

I also picked up a Fulltone tape cartridge to use as a back up. Fits the old ones. He gets bent when someone gets one of his cartridges that hasn't bought his unit. Luckily the shop didn't know any better. Many acts have toured with them. Counting Crows tours with several.

Really? He gets upset if you buy the cartridge and didn't buy his Very High Priced unit? Why did he make it the same size as the Plex's tape cartridge?

I guess easier to copy an existing proven design. I dunno.
