The EXACT value Gibson uses!

I was gonna buy normal Mallory 150 0.022uF capacitors for 20 cents each, but these are somehow special in that the seller says Gibson used the same value...? Who cares if they're a totally different make of capacitor, everyone knows the scarce 0.022uF value yeilds magical tonal properties, and only the ones this seller has will make me sound like Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton - screw it, I'm buying them at $5 each. I need "style Caps that were used in Gibsons Golden Guitar Years".

I bet if I put one of those in my squier strat, it'd kill any Gibson Les Paul Standard for tone...

Re: OMG! Actual Mallory Capacitors!

wow. 250 dollars for a cap in the tone circuit of a guitar. I've seen it all.

Actually, it was $10. ($2.50 for shipping.) ;)

But if I had $10 to throw away, it would almost be fun to buy these, (seeing how I work in a calibration lab), throw them on the ole cap tester, then file a complaint with eBay since they weren't "exactly" .022uf. I'd send the certificate of calibration to eBay showing that they were .01763249876uf. :D
