I'm getting a Mesa V-twin, got a good price on a 2nd hand deal! :fingersx:
I don't need it at all since I have 2 great sounding modded od's and a Silver Dragon that kills! Yet everytime I see a picture of the thing or when I see or hear it mentioned I get that little devil on my shoulder popping up, saying: 'go get it!' :firedevil :smack:

soooo, since I can still cancel the deal now I was wondering what your experiences are with this pedal? Any things about it I should look out for?
Is it usable as an od boost and a distortion pedal? I'm kinda expecting it to be my holy grail of pedals...

I´m searching for my perfect OD-pedal..I hope the Tube Zone will do what I expect. I am an one-typ-of-gear man. 1 guitar, 1 amp, 1 OD-pedal etc...dunno

I have no experience with it but I've looked a little bit into it..

Apparently it is really good, and it sounds more like a Mesa Mark IV or something rather than something in the Rectifier series. I've heard plenty of clips of this in the past and it sounds awesome....but then again, I've never actually used or even seen one for myself.

One guy I was talking to said that he used to be a tube purist until he found this pedal and that it sounds great even through solid-state amps.....I thought that would be worth mentioning.

Some of the best cleans I've heard coming from ANY amp, coupled with good crunch sounds from the yelow channel, and the best high gain sound I've gotten from any Boogie (Recto's, Marks, and Mavericks included).

It really isn't just an OD pedal, it's a full blown preamp in a stomp box.

I had mine set up with EH12AX7's running into my Mesa 50:50 and it sounded great.

yep, its a preamp pedal. very good distortion , especially for heavy stuff. i played it on a AVT 50, clean channel.

It is a great little pedal. very versatile. I use it like a thd univibe. I like to use 12at7s in the red channel. That loosens up the distortion on the drive channel. I still like the 12ax7 on the blues side. Just get it it is a great pedal.

I have one, it´s the master piece of my setup. Sometimes I think it a little muddy, but it depends a lot of where you have put (like in the input, the return, in a power amp with 4x12). But it´s lots of versatility, you can turn on in various wayys and if you have a little pacience to adjust, it sounds veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery great. the problem is to use the 3 channels, because its only one gain ctrl, vol and eq

And besides I don't use my Bogner all the time you know, so having a few great pedals around to play is being on top of the game and a lot of fun! :banana:

Thanks for clarifying, but I was also hoping you'd give some input on this since you puhsed your Marshall with one.

I'm going to try it out tomorrow and if I like it I will take it home! After reading all your input I'm really stoked! I'm expecting a lot from this pedal now! It will make my rig even more versatile than it was!
