They're far too simple & classy looking... when I think Charvel, I think of shredders, and those just conjure up mellow sounds in my head.

The bare wood thing is just something I'm into these days. When i look at that guitar I just think "tone!" and how good it'll sound through my Bogner. :D

I like the wood of the second and the configuration of the first and if you understand what I just said then you're doing better than me :lmao:

That first one is great...it's got the dark natural finish, and just looks like a total jazzy kind of ax, but it ain't got a tone control, and I bet those pickups ain't tame...they're probably hot as he77 and mean. In the automotive world, you'd call that one a sleeper...kinda like stuffing a 426 Hemi into a Dodge Dart.

I would but I'll need to sell more than my Les Paul to get it, and I'm not sure I HAVE much more that's expendable.

HA! I actually never use tone controls, so there ya go.

I'm not a car guy at all but I assume by that definition you mean a car that's WAY more powerful than it looks?

Yeah, this is my (HEAVILY modified) 2007 "Swing Guitar Technology" EZ-10
HERE's a link to the thread where I list "all" the mods I did (plus a lot of before and after photos).
The short version however is that everything that wasn't made out of wood had to go except for the frets and strap buttons :D

Charvels are incredible playing guitars, I miss my old '84 San Dimas w/ the unfinished maple neck. Single humbucker and Floyd. That guitar was straightforward sick
