On-board multi-FX done "right"?

Re: On-board multi-FX done "right"?

They don't catch on because you don't need he effects on the guitar, you just need the controls on the guitar.

Hmmm... how about some kind of wireless "remote control" with a button and a couple of knobs that could control an effect of your choosing in a floor or rack unit. THAT would be pretty cool. [emoji848]

I mentioned this in another thread, but the Teuffel Tesla has 3 'effects'..one is a kill switch, one *adds* 60 cycle hum, like a broken cable, and another one *adds* microphonic feedback (squealing) from a microphone embedded in the body.

Maybe something that moves easily from guitar to guitar.

I'm thinking small touchscreen with pattern lock thingy so it's not accidentally triggered, in place of multiple extra knobs & switches that would have to be drilled for to control/edit fx. There are processors small enough now to handle it & I guess the whole thing could be fit around the size of 9V battery or embedded cavity cover form maybe, with double sided PCB(s).
The MS series of zoom pedals run on two(?) AA batteries so power wise... theoretically possible, I can imagine practically possible too if someone wanted to....

Why? I think I've asked this before, but isn't it much easier to use foot? You don't need your feet to play...

Two reasons:

1) If it were the right effect, you wouldn't have to be "tied" to your board onstage in order to use it.

2) It's just really, REALLY cool! [emoji41]

Because when I'm on the other side of the stage, I don't want to have to run all the way back just to kick a switch, and my fingers are way more precise than my feet for turning a knob or setting a fader.
