Greetings... About the tube options the offer for the preamp & recto; I very well understand the 6AT6 vs. 6AV6 gain concept, but I'm not so certain of the 5Y3 > 5V4 rectifier swap.... Can anyone kindly break it down for me, & hopefully in the context of this amp....?

5v4 will increase the voltage a bit. ive done this in my tweed deluxe and i like it. i found that the tone was a little wider (more open highs, tighter deeper lows), there was a bit more clean headroom, and when cranked up there was a bit more volume. at least for me, thats kinda what i expected. i did nothing else other than pulling the 5y3 and popped in the 5v4 and had no issues at all.
