On the bench - 1981 Les Paul Custom

It's got nicks on the top of the peghead and the back of the neck, plenty of wear on the neck, and the jack plate was dented in from a serious drop (now straightened). Buffed off a lot of old tobacco smoke, leveled the fretboard and radiused what's left of the frets (fretless wonder era). The Tim Shaw PAFs sound magical, and the electronics are bone stock. The Gen 3 chainsaw case looks new, latches all work. Selling this for a pal who wants too much money for it - $4250.

I'd post some pix, but it looks like every other black Custom for the most part. The real dealio is playing it.... I've been letting some of the local pros have at it, and they've all declared their lust for it. We'll see who can pony up the bucks.

The LP is the quintessential electric guitar shape. But I wish they weren't so darn heavy.

Can you believe no one has popped for this yet? I told my pal it would sell for $3500, but he thinks he deserves at least $4000.
