What say you?
how do you pronounce hamer? and ibanez?
You've heard people say "Epiphany" ???
Wow. That's giving the company a lot of credit.
I've heard people call Hamer (Hay-mer) "Hammer" and "Hah-mer," but I don't think I've ever heard anyone butcher Epiphone's name that way.

Please read the post directly above yours for Hamer.
I pronounce Ibanez "Eye-Bah-Nez."
I've always prounounced it with the short I sound. The long a sound or a long I or e just sounds wrong.
As for Hamer, there's a pawn shop brand named Hammer, I think people confuse the two.
Eye-bah-nez
At least that's how I pronounce them.
Eeee-bah-niez would be the most correct pronounciation.
It's originally a Spanish name. In the 1920's, this was actually a Spanish guitarbrand. When they became really popular and couldn't keep up the demand with their production, they had a Japanese company (Hoshino) build them guitars under license. Those were actually the very first Japanese Ibanez guitars. At some point, the Spanish company went bankrupt, but in Japan production kept going. At some point Hoshino acquired the Ibanez brand name, and to date still builds by this name.
I always mispronounce BC Rich
