Once you buy a nice Les Paul it takes the GAS out of you.

Re: Once you buy a nice Les Paul it takes the GAS out of you.

No single coils, no trem, and probably not a shreddy neck

You still need a good Fender and something fast and Japanese, maybe Ibanez or ESP

And then you could also take up bass to keep on questing

Good recommendation. It’s key to sell the Les Paul along the way to be able to restart the cycle all over. Forever.

Wow, what a stunning piece! Gorgeous! Does it sound as good as it looks?

Re: Once you buy a nice Les Paul it takes the GAS out of you.

No f holes? And it needs to be 1/3 bigger in body size.

Just kidding..it is wonderful. If I played LPs, this would be the one.

Lol, I beat GAS for ten years, it's back again. The quest for "THE" Les Paul never ends. Don't make the mistake I did and play a great sounding original burst, totally amazing but also a tone quest curse!

I spent several years finding an R guitar that was truely better than my carefully handpicked USA, it's still only 90% as good as the real deal.

Then you have to consider a custom build, with everything EXACTLY how you want it.

Then.......

Beautiful LP congrats!

GAS will return don't worry it is only a temporary situation lol

Re: Once you buy a nice Les Paul it takes the GAS out of you.

I wish!

I bought my first LP in 1975...a '55 Special Reissue. Had to sell it in 2001. :(

But in 2003 I bought my first 2HB LP, a 1997 1960 Classic Premium Plus. It actually brought on MORE G.A.S.!

And the buying started. Then quest shifted from Gibson USA models to getting a Historic. The first Historic just led to more G.A.S. I now have four Historics, and eleven LPs in all. Crazy!!!

But the REALLY CRAZY PART?

I don't even LIKE Les Pauls! I'm a Strat (G&L Legacy) guy! I just keep finding really great deals on really special guitars that speak to me.

(Actually...they yell at me.... "Bill! Take me home! Now!")

Screw SC's and trems.

If that beauty has a 60's profile neck, you're golden...

Re: Once you buy a nice Les Paul it takes the GAS out of you.

Very nice Les Paul. I've been "borrowing" a buddy's LP Trad Pro for the last 3-4 years...LOL. He knows I have it. If anything, it's keeping him from selling it until I can buy it from him.

No, it doesn't.

Congrats on the LP, though!
