Humbucker in bridge slanted towards neck at the right.

Tapped version of QP.

Voted for P90, as that's closer tonewise than sc bridge.

Re: One pickup type. One position. One choice.

Since you mentioned it, Jazzmaster bridge. Probably an SD Hot, if I only had one.

Just my guess but most of my favorite guitar work has been done with a Stratocaster neck pickup.

The strat neck sound is a force of nature. The strat mid pickup is heavily underrated. So transparent and balanced.

I voted for a neck humbucker. I can play everything I need to with either a neck Alnico II Pro or Seth Lover.

Re: One pickup type. One position. One choice.

I would go for single coil for neck position. I'm into heavy rock music, Lynch and DIO stuff, but I just love those smooth, liquid solos of John Norum. Why single coil instead humbucker though? More unpredictable for me, crispy and metallic, cold sound. I got used to it for years of playing.

My guitar only has one humbucker, in the bridge position and isn't even routed for anything else other than a volume pot' and output jack.

I'm a big fan of that format, especially with the volume moved more away and/or lower. Ordered my first carvin like that several years ago.
