Funny you should say that, I just cut a co-worker's Tele for a Custom Shop neck mini and it sounded great to me. It made me want to make a guitar just for a mini.

Yeah Frank, the mini just has a cool look to it too. It kind of retains the classic Tele look but with a fatter pickup in the neck position. The tone is not exactly Tele-like, not exactly Strat-like, not exactly full-size humbucker-like, and not exactly P90-like. It's got a character all it's own. Here's a cool pic of a Tele from a player I know...

Yep. It was a bit too rounded to fit in the mix at your place (one of the luxuries of bringing tons of guitars with me). I couldn't hear myself, so I grabbed a different guitar instead.

I was kind of surprised he could do clean chordal jazz with it? Most of the people you see doing that style of jazz use a big hollowbody. Also the guys you see using a tele with a mini-humbucker tend to be more fushion oriented.
