Great White Malice
Re: OOOUCH!! (major ding pictures...)
Great! Thanks. Surfboard resin might be easy to find in Hawaii.... but not here in Quebec :laugh2: :laugh2:
butnut said:A DIYS fix is possible if you are handy with resin. Scrape all loose chips off. Use finishing resin (surfboard) and buy a couple of transparent red and orange resin tints. Mix the colors with the resin until you have the right tone, catalize it. Use some clear mailing tape to form a 'mold' for the outer edge and leave it higher than the edge. 'Fill' the gap with the resin and work some over the flat area, overfill it a bit. When dry, pull tape and sand flush. Go easy, when close, use 400,800,1200,1500 and 2000 grit paper. Blend the area around the fix feathering the edges. Use a compound and polish to bring the shine out. Good luck.
