OOP w/ Phat Cat and PG

Okay, I've browsed the Search function for awhile, but cant quite find a definitive answer to what I'm looking for. I'm wiring my Les Paul with a PG bridge and a Phat Cat neck. Now, I want the two pups to be OOP in the middle switch position (a la Peter Green). Now here's where I have a few questions based on a few things I've read around the Search function:

1. Will a stock Phat Cat neck and PG bridge already be OOP wired normally?

2. With the 4-conductor wiring on the PG, is there a way to wire it OOP without magnet flipping/flopping? I tried picture this based off of the OOP switch some people use on push/pulls, but just could get it to click what I would need to do this.

3. Having a pickup OOP (in this instance the bridge PG) in the middle position, will not affect it's "normal" tone when the PU is selected by itself correct?

Just seeing if I have things squared away or not

1. Shouldn't, as they are both Duncan's and I believe their line is designed to have complimentary polarities. One way to tell for sure though.

2. Yes, but I don't know exactly how to do it. I assume you'd reverse the polarity of the pickup by swapping the coil starts around. So the Red and White would likely have to trade places with the Green and Black. Again, I don't know for sure.

3. When in normal positon, there is no affect on the tone. It only makes a difference when mixed with the other pikup.

BTW, I had a PC and a Gibson in my SG for a while, and the out of phase middle position totally kicked ass. One of the best I've heard. If it were me, I'd just flip the PG mag and be done with it. You won't miss much out of the regular middle slot with that pair. IMHO. Good luck and keep us posted.

just wire up the bridge pickup for a single phase switch and it'll do what you want. i had that setup in my SG forever and it did just that. personally i like the phase switch to be the push pull on the bridge tone knob

Yes.

Yes, just reverse green and black leads.

Should not affect stand-alone tone.

Yes.

So does that mean if I want the PC and the PG to be OOP in the middle position, just wire them up normally as they would always be and it's already done? IE, I don't need to wire the PG out of phase by reversing the black and green leads?

i'm not totally sure about which way the phase of the PCn is, but just wire it up as it should be normally. if it's in phase, just reverse the black and green, it won't take but an extra minute to figure it out.

Yeah... just surprised that they already could be when wired normally thats all.
