fess up, your an emo kid at heart, ain't ya.....:smash:
I don't even know what emo is... If you're talking about the kind of music then no. I don't listen to it and I dislike it. If you are talking about the fashion trend, I don't dress or have any body modifications according to any fashion trends, so also no.

It's pretty much a no all round. Next?

Newking goes to show... don't ask questions on an empty stomach.

Beer$

Beer change?

Beer is money?

Money is evil and is used to buy beer, since money can be proven to be the root of all evil relating to women can beer be the root of all good as it makes women look good?

But girls are a good source of vitamin G (string) which stands for Good.

Metal is very evil and it is very good.

Now we look at the hypotenuse... because you get hy.. from pot... when you use it.

That is very good.

I think it's safe to say that Evil = Good.

And that's when the Universe asplodes in a sea of beer. I see now. Cause beer brings clarity.

What is your view on the state of Rock music today?

What would you consider the Holy Grail of tone?

Given the choice of being all powerful or all knowing, which would you choose?

I believe if you look on the surface, you are not going to be impressed. I also believe if you judge the face of any genre of music by what's happening in the mainstream neither you or the people listening to you are gonna be very happy. If you explore and dive in and look you'll find all sorts of goodies you didn't even know existed. I remember once someone said "The current generation has nothing to offer in the way of good guitarist". I laughed because he sucked.

Now the holy grail of tone for me would can be categorized into several sections.

Clean 1: A very very clean but very sparkly sort of tone in which you can hear the glistening of the fingers over the strings.

Clean 2: A clean that is just starting to break up so although it is clean it is quite dirty, like a Vox amp. This works really well with dark menacing stuff as opposed to happy chimey stuff.

Metal Rhythm 1: A very raw, driven sound but not distorted to the point of fuzz happening. Clear note definition and a slight scoop in the right place to give it a mean vowel shape and to thin it out a little for chordwork, but not get lost in a mix.

Metal Rhythm 2: A loose but not too twangy and not too gainy tone perfect for Low tunings (check my fender thread in tips and clips) Alot thicker than MR1, so better for single note riffing than chords.

Metal Lead 1: The ball tearing sound of a sizzly bridge pickup and aggressive but accurate licks

Metal Lead 2: A woody, melodic, neo-classical sound of a driven neck pickup for leads.

I base these around tones that I like to use.

Do you have any cool dangly earrings you'd like to show off?

Perhaps something like these:

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

Ah, that's a shame. I was looking forward to see some *metal* dangly earrings.
There is a risk that while I am doing activities such as playing at a show or participating in the audience of a show that an earring could get torn out. Plus I don't really see the appeal. What if I am doing something metal like burning down a church and they identify me with the dangly earring?

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

Geez, even Pirates wear dangly earrings! You saying you're not metal enough to be a Pirate? Pfft.

BTW, anyone can feel free to quote this post.

Way to ruin the lovely symmetry of the thread layout...

I hate you, you're a tool.

That pirate seems a bit too queer...

Not to mention Pirate's aren't metal because they are people... made out of carbon atoms.

You can't 'be' metal. You can play it (well.. you can't) Listen to it, love it etc.

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

No, this is a tool. BTW, I just typed 'tool' into Google Images, and this popped up first. Awesome, huh!?
