I am so metal that I use WD-40 for lube.

No, but I have had Iron Man deficiency which was cured by blasting Sabbath vinyls until I was better.

Supposedly the hardest metal is carbon steel, but they are always trying to make new alloys which are harder. If they made a black carbon/thrashed steel alloy... that would be harder that nano-nucleonic nails... If I ever lose an arm, I would expect a super-shred arm to be made in it's place outta that stuff.

No I did not know that... My band is named Fragmenta based off of the Spanish word Fragmento which means shred.

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

What would your top three ideal careers be?
At the moment I work as a guitar tech/luthier in a music shop. I can earn up to $500 a day if it goes as well as it could. It's not paying too bad now and not too many people are even aware of the business (the shop has some of the best deals in town but we can't really advertise as much as the chain stores, but many people bring their guitars in for me to repair what the chain stores fixed :laugh2:)

Top 3 careers...

Porn Star (just kidding)/Professional touring musician.

Movie Director.

Studio Engineer.

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

Is that the feminine form of Fragmento?
No, because otherwise the masculine version would be Fragmente.

It has a nice bay area ring to it with the A. I mean come on... Metallico? Slay-oh?...

...Pantero?

Doesn't work.

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

So what's your favorite beer.... oh, your 17... what WOULD be your favorite beer?

What's your next guitar likely to be and why?

I'm impressed that you are so young and already got a job as a guitar repairer, so what's the most difficult repair you've done to date?

Based on what you've so far... what are the worst guitars you've laid your hands on?

Re: Opening the keg - The Well Part XXXIII

ever been to new zealand? any plans on tattoos in the future?
No I haven't, the only place I've been overseas so far is Reunion Island just next to Madagascar.

I plan to get a Celtic knot-cross on one shoulder and an Egyptian key of life on the other to represent both sides of my heritage. I am just working on designs then I'll scope out a good parlor.

I still drink beer... my favourite at the moment is Southwark Premium. I won't reject anything nice and cold though if I am really hanging out for one. Except Fosters and VB. Even worse... is MB (Melbourne Bitter... terrible)

Possibly a Ran custom shop because of the quality and value for money and having a guitar to my exact specs.

A Peavey wolfgang that had the neck pickup alot weaker than the bridge and I tried rewiring it a few times and it turns out it was the pickup itself.

Sometimes in shops they seem to assume that all left handers are begginers so they only have 1 squier or epiphone or whatever and I find them inadequate for testing out amps. Down where I work there is one lefty Ibanez which the boss lets my keep behind the desk seeing it hasn't been sold in a few years hehe.
