Operation "Blue Dress" underway on my G&L Rampage

I've been kinda bored sitting idle waiting for my other EBMM EVH project to show up so I decided to turn my G&L Rampage into my next project. After surfing the web for about an hour I found some blown up picture's of a G&L Rampage Jerry Cantrell Blue Dress reissue on gbase. The pix were of big enough and of good enough quality that I was able to crop and resize the blue dress pin up to almost the proper size that was needed to fit my guitar body without losing any contrast and clarity. And here are the final results.

I decided to tape it up just like Jerry did on his guitar, I think the tape lines that you see on the orginal blue dress add a little character to it.
Later on today I'm going to pickup my checkerboard squares from the vinyl shop, my KISW ROCK stickers won't be here until next week, but I'll post some more pix tomm after I put the checkerboard stickers on.

Here she is all completed. Man putting the checkerboard stickers on was a tedious job damn near took about 5hrs. The other good news is I don't have to wait for my "Rock" stickers from KISW anymore. I was able to find a vinyl store that made them for me in 30mins and gave me all 3 for $5, the rock stickers are a little smaller than the ones used on the orginal blue dress guitar but oh well, they were a must for this project. I don't understand why G&L is making $5,000.00 reissue's of this guitar and they are leaving out the "Rock" stickers. WTF, they might aswell take the Blue dress pin up off aswell b/c the "Rock" stickers are just as important. I do have to say I really loved this guitar when I got it back in sept, but something was just missing, since then I've dropped a JB humbucker into it, put real all black harware and Schaller tuners on it and did this design job on it, the only thing left to do is play the ****e out of it. And it cost me less than $25 to get all the vinyl decals made, so technically I saved myself $4,975.00.

Kickass! I love that you skirted the price tag and got an awesome looking guitar out of it.

Hey mate, where did you get the Blue dress and pattern decals they are so awesome! Do you know where I can get them?

wow! I was Google searching for images because I want to EXACTLY the same thing and that's how I found this thread! lol This is SUPER awesome! So did you just tell the vinyl shop to cut you some squares with holes in them? Also, how did you come up with the Rock stickers? Is that something still available some place?
