i use the hybrid slinkys (although i bought 9 packs of d'addarios which i dont like as much) for my electrics. for acoustic, i like elixers. but i would advise you to not get those for electric.

i use Everly strings on my strat,
B52 .010-.052 for normal E tuning & Drop D
and
X-Rockers .011-.056 for 1 step down D Tuning & Crop C

but now i wanna try .060 for D & Drop C

I've been using Dean Markley Blue Steel for about 10 years. Just something about their sound and feel. I was using 9s then this summer moved to 10s. This week I moved up to 11s.

i got DR Hi Beam in my hohner 10-48 and Ernie Ball 10-48 in my fender strat ( gonna be switched to Rotosounds)

DR Pure Blues and Tite-fits 10-46, and I love GHS Eric Johnson Nickel Rockers 10-50, those are probably being used the most lately...I usually switch up and try something new now and again...I also like D'addarios and Dean Markley Blue Steels.

I never thought strings could make such a difference in tone until I tried the Original Nickels from www.sobstrings.net My former Epiphone Elitist LP had that pingy, metally tone to it and I put these on and found a dramatic difference. Nice, warm tone with no steely fret sound. In fact, I'm getting ready to put a new set on my Hamer this weekend.

I use GHS 9-42s on my strat and 10-46 on my paul, But I'm thinkin of try A hybrid set , or Just putting 9's on it because I like the easy bends I can do on 9's.

I use Hybrid (9-46) and more often Heavy Bottom Skinny Top (10-52). Both good. Normal is good too (10-46).

Edit: to clarify, I use hybrids for my lead guitars and HBSTs for my rythym guitars.

DR is the best bang/buck guitar string.

I agree DR ......why does'nt SD make strings anymore ..I loved them in 80's
