opinions on this possible setup for frankenstrat?

My buddy just rewired my frankenstrat with DiMarzio pickups insisting that I'd love them. He put an overwound EJ Custom Bridge in the Neck, a Chopper single coil in the middle, and a PAF 36th Anniversary in the Bridge. I gotta tell you it doesn't hold a candle to my other "Jimmy Herring" modeled strat with 59's in the neck and bridge. They just have some kind of mojo.
I was thinking for this frankenstrat a (59' neck, Cool Rails for middle, and a Screamin' Deamon George Lynch for the Bridge).

What do you insightful members think about this arrangement?

premium alder body, rosewood fretboard, with stainless steel frets

^^I assume a maple neck as well?

I think that setup will sound great if you´re looking for a nice articulate sound that stays clear under high gain and has a few cool tricks up it´s sleeve.

Have you tried a Custom Custom? I have one in an alder strat and it just sings in there.

since its a frankie I would say either a custom custom or the custom shop "EVH" '78 model.

The pickup that I find works best with alder though is the JB

Oh, I forgot to mention I'm playing through a Super Reverb with Tone Tubby speakers.

super reverb with tt, strat with pair of 59's. do you have a h&k tube factor too?

Yes I also have a hughes and kettner tube factor and a volume pedal. I've got the whole Jimmy Herring rig down. He's my favorite rock guitarist. My favorite blues guitarist is Derek Trucks, and my favorite jazz guitarist is Bireli Lagrene/Sylvan Luc/Wayne Krantz. I keep just those guitarists in steady rotation.......I hope they rub off on me in a special way so I can become a great guitarist as well.
