Orange Rocker 15 vs OR15

Re: Orange Rocker 15 vs OR15

Yep that would be a great pair of amps to own, shoot orange makes some tasty stuff.
Also there's nothing on the or15 that really compares to the rocker clean tone.
The or15 kinda reminds me of a Marshall that has been flavored orange. Not exactly sure why they put the OR name on it, I've never played the original or amps but to me I can tell they are very different!
Still, very cool amps

Real great amps and innovation but damn those are high price tags especially considering that they're made in China.
Not saying that they aren't worth their money for tone and features, but I think that they're probably ripping us off!

Re: Orange Rocker 15 vs OR15

Have not played both, but do own the OR15. Love it! Very vintage sounding to my ears. I usually set my gain to 11 o'clock. Once you gain past 1 o'clock, it starts to get more modern sounding. Past 3 is too much for me......Fizz city.

Tiny Terror was exactly the same: Great tones from 10-11 to 2:30, and got very fizzy around 3

yeah I almost went with another OR15, and then try to get a PPC112, when looking for an amp after I sold my OR15 and vox cab during a time of harship, but decided to scratch my fender itch instead mostly cuz my Fender Supersonic 22 has more bells and whistles and was cheaper.
I also wish they'd do an or15 combo

They actually sound a lot closer to my Matamps and OR80 than I'd like to admit. Not as big or ballsy (15w vs 80w or 120w go figure) but the core DNA is there. I wish they had the FAC and HF Drive knobs with the Baxandall EQ but frankly most people prefer the B/M/T thing

Awesome you're really making me miss the or15 too bad I've spent too much money this past year.
Also I should mention that my experience is limited with orange cabs, I've played the or15 through the 212 a couple times, usually ran a 112, but never the full 412 that I think was a lot of the orange tone im thinking of.
