Orange Rockerverb 50

Anybody know anything about these amps besides what i can read at the site or any Harmony Central? Sounds like the "good clean/good distortion/easy-to-move" amp I've been looking for, and the weird color doesn't hurt... Think it's worth selling a 68 Silverface Bassman for?

Totally different animal than your Silverface Fender! I checked those out briefly at the LA Amp Show, and it's a departure from the regular Orange amps. Basically, a modern two channel amp with fat cleans and a highgain channel. I mostly heard the combo version, which sounded great, but the halfstacks looked like something I'd definitely want to own!

Re: Orange Rockerverb 50

They're nice amps, definately. I liked the Orange AD30TC head more, though.. the Rockerverb seemed too dark sounding in comparison. Like Gearjonser said, the Rockerverb series is a departure from the traditional Orange sound, in bringing a more modern/higher gain sound to the table.

Re: Orange Rockerverb 50

We've been having some amp parties over at my recording studio lately recording clips of amps/speaker/guitar combinations. I have a few clips of the Orange Rockerverb 50 head into a 4x12 w/ greenbacks. Just scroll down to Orange and you'll get an idea of what it sounds like. clean, crunch and lead clips. It's a great sounding amp no doubt!

Gearjonser, you ought to bring some of those killer amps over sometime and let us get clips of them for our amp comparison page. If your interested, drop me a e-line.
