Orange Rockerverb for punk rock?

Re: Orange Rockerverb for punk rock?

Arguing over what is punk is very un-punk. If you have to justify it.. its not punk. If it works for you use it. If it doesnt work for you find something else.

And you're the official punk lecturer/authority because? The point is not about who/what is punk here. It's about guitar/amp tone (and if that's not the point of this forum what is?). We're not debating the punk ethics.

If it works for you use it. If it doesnt work for you find something else.

So, asking about what would work is unacceptable?

I would not recommend the "Strung Out" guitarist to use gear that "The Clash" used.

I Saw Strung out a few times, awesome punk band! they have metal tendencies.

Re: Orange Rockerverb for punk rock?

Yeah, that's what I said... but isn't that talking about gear... it's forbidden when punk is mentioned.

Re: Orange Rockerverb for punk rock?

The 90s and 00s didnt help as the saturated higain tube amp thru humbuckers became "punk". I personally subscribe to the single coil + cheap stompbox into whatever amp is laying around as punk.

Calm your mammaries, Man people around here are ready to get up in arms damn quick lately besides your ignoring my point, In my opinion punk is and always has been about thinking for yourself. He can ask all he wants but the point of punk is to decide for yourself will this work for my music because anything CAN work theres no rules its up to the individual. If the orange fits the OP he should grab it and rock the hell out and not care at all what anyone else on the planet thinks.

I don't wanna argue but the new crushes are based on the rockerverb... Plenty of info about this on the orange forum iirc.

No doubt it is based on the Rockerverb. But sorry, they just don't sound or feel the same. Personally, I think a bandit will make OP happier for less, but to each his own...

Also, enough of the 'its just punk blah blah attitude blah blah' comment. Sure the songs are about the attitude, but ya still gotta sound good! Plus...who knows if he's even playing ' real' punk (that'll stir the pot hahah)
