Orange Tiny Terror and Vibrolux content..( Lux is for you Curly)...

This Tiny Terror is killer. It is the perfect size for what I will use it for. Also you get incredible crunch and higher gain sounds at levels that are incredibly useful. This sucker can be loud too! Right now I am running it through my Lux and it sounds incredible. It will sound even better when I get a cab that is more British voiced. I am really feeling the switch from 15 watts to 7 watts too! This little sucker feels like a tank too!

Also I am getting pretty good at this whole grill cloth thing. I put some aged Blackface correct grill cloth on the Lux last night. That's for you Curly. You were the only one who noticed I had a black faceplate and silverface grill cloth on the amp!!!

Felt a little artsy on this one!

Here's the new grill cloth I put on.

EDIT: Here is the before pic. IMO (and to toot my horn a little!!) I did a better job than the "pro" who did it before!!!

cool amp bro!

however, lets define "higher gain" for this amp please...

are we talking AC/DC?(which is NOT high gain by the way yet some people think it is) iron maiden perhaps and some other 80s style metal? 90's metallica or megadeth style metal perhaps? or modern metal...you know, the growly screamy stuff (yeah right lol).

How about i just come over to Atlanta and steal all that stuff from you?

I'd love to hear more about the TT from you bro - nice collection too.

Greg, thats a pretty nice job on the grill cloth bro! I won't mention that the logo is wrong:chairfall

Mike, as for the Tiny Terror...I tried it out pretty hard Saturday night...it's much more crunch that AC/DC...full up with out any pedals it was a pretty crunchy tone but not really saturated or out of control, however it was still pretty crunchy, at one point we pulled the gain back a tad and hit it in the front with a TS-9 and it handled it well. Keep in mind we were playing through an open back 2x10 and we were using a telecaster...I would bet through a 2x12 or 4x12 with buckers you culd get really intense...maybe not modern stuff (It's not a Dual Recto by any stretch) but it still dishes out some pretty crunchy tones.

^^^ Yeah what he said!!! And thanks for taking over the jigsaw for me C!

That's something else I forgot to mention. I cut out a new baffle for the grill cloth.

Like Christian said we were running through a 2x10 open back cab (the Lux) and it is nice and crunchy. You can get some Zakk effin Wilde pinch stuff even on a Tele if you wanted. Not that I tried ;-)

Now throw a TS-9 in front of it and you are taken into a whole new ballgame! It's not very often that I get an EL84 amp that TGWIF approves of, but I did with this one. It sounds amazing through this little Mesa 1x12 I tried it through too. That will be the cab I end up with.

NICE JOB :bigthumb:

I think you need a 4x10 to go with that TT

B,

great job on the grill cloth!

I've done that a couple times, and I think the trick is to have the right staple gun, and maybe a hair dryer.

definitely has the mojo look!!! :D

You are right on about the stapler. One that is too weak doesn't quite penetrate the wood and it sticks up looking horrible.

THat English Guitarist mag has a couple clips of that tiny terror on their dec mag CD.

man, ive been GASin after that tiny terror lately. even though i really dont need another 15 watt el84 amp it looks too awesome to resist. unluckilly i should be saving up for a car so it is highly unlikely that i will break down and buy one.
