Ordered a new amp last night.... hehe....

A Twin Reverb Custom 15... basically a Twin with a single 15" speaker...

I really loved the Mesa, great broken up sounds and the best dirt sounds I have ever heard on an amp. It would be perfect if I was still playing how I used to but I play mostly clean now. The Mesa cleans are good but not up to Twin Reverb level and everytime I plugged in I thought about what I could have hehe... I missed my old Fenders... so I bought this....

It cost $900, I know I could have gotten a silverface but I wanted the 15" speaker. I have $260 from selling a few pickups and an attenuator and I am going to be selling the Mesa ($700 or so) and Yamaha (SS Twin Reverb Clone, maybe $150) to heal the damage.

Anyway, excited.

Also, I have a way to record now and recorded a horrible improv last night but I will be putting it up later in the tips and clips to see what improvements can be made etc.

Almost bought one of those a few months ago. After testing 12 different Fender Twins from the sixties through today it came down to that and a Fender Twin Reverb II. I would have been very happy with either.

I am a big fan of 15" speakers for guitar.

That looks pretty darn sweet my man, shame about the Mesa but you gotta do what you gotta do! Funnily enough I have serious GAS for a Fender amp that will give me pristine cleans.... I wanna play some Beach Boy tunes

Very cool. When I had a Twin, I would unplug the stock speakers and run it through an Ampeg 2x15 bass cabinet when playing at home. It was a much nicer tone than the built-in speakers. I am sure that thing will sound great. I'm sad to hear you are selling the Mk. II so soon, though. There isn't much those amps can't do.

Keep the mesa and keep that... run them things in stereo with a fuzz and put a warning sticker on your band's site: (WARNING! Excessive low end may cause women to be 'uncomfortable').
