ordering custom pickups

i wonder if there any plans for blues rails typ sinlge coils like hot rails but will give you the stevie ray vaughan sound.that will fit in a jackson dk2 alder body w flame maple vaneer,along side a jb bridge pickups. i am planning to replace the duncan designed for actual duncans.plus what are some ducan,dimarizo or other pickups mixed sets to get a great sounds.plus if i use a L500XL in the neck like dave mustaine did at one time what ducan did he use in the bridge,and was it a L500XL or simply the L500 i know it was a double blade pickup.this would be before the jackson mustaine signature line started. thanks

no plans for "blues rails" as you described AFAIK...though there are plenty of other options in the single-coil variety that'll get you closer to the "SRV-type" tone. I use Lindy fralin blues specials for that. Great pickups.

Just a thought, ya might be able to get the custom shop to wind somthing in the vintage rails housing...but...eh.

As for matched sets of duncans that sound good...I've actually had trouble finding a bad combination...it all depends on your style though.

Dave has used the custom and the JB interchangably over the years, I dont know if the neck pickup was an L-500XL, L-500L, L-500R, or L-500c, but somebody around here probably does.

the srv tone is in the amp not in the pickups!!
