Ordering tele parts soon

The tele project I've been thinking about for the past couple of months is about to get underway. Some of you might remember the initial "what if?" thread I started - I'd planned a mahogany body in Pelham Blue, maple/rosewood neck, and dual P90s.

I had a bit of scope creep after remembering a black limba JS-style build I tried to do several years go, which got scrapped due to some horrible craftsmanship by a small one-man operation. So, I decided to merge the two ideas.

The final plan will still use two P90s, but will now have an oil-finished black limba body. I'll most likely go with a solid rosewood neck (I'm addicted to that smooth, raw wood feel now), but might also go with something like Wenge or Goncalo Alves. It depends on what's available when I order and how adventurous I feel that day. Anyway, here's the mockup:

Re: Ordering tele parts soon

Cool. If you need some hardware, I have a Tele control plate (loaded), neck plate and screws, a hard-tail bridge (Gotoh 5-screw mount) and string ferrules. All chrome. If you're interested in any or all of it, let me know. None of it has been used. I had plans to do a hard-tail Tele a few years ago and haven't been able to.

Thanks for the offer man. I have a lot of the hardware already in my parts bin if I decide to go chrome. I might go with black though, it really depends on how the body looks once I get it and apply the oil. That's still a couple of months out!

No problem. I've kept it all in hopes of being able to do something with it but that's not the case. Gone move it and apply those funds towards a new Strat.
