Original '59 Strat PU?

Re: Original '59 Strat PU?

woah..even its a vintage 59 strat pup...c'mon 400-500bucks? well i guess gibson paf's are also expensive, but if i had the money for that, i'd buy a guitar.

Re: Original '59 Strat PU?

I don't think this things worth the money. They have a collector value in my opinion, not musical. I can belive a vintage Les Paul or strat coul be better than a today's one because they were made in a different way: Different techniques (less machines involved) and better woods.

But, c'mon, pickups it is a different story. It is a coil and a magnet. If we are able to send rockets to Mars, shouldn't we be able to make a better coil that people 50 years ago?

Re: Original '59 Strat PU?

OK there's tons more, including a pair of Gibby HB's from the 60's with a starting bid of £1900!!!, I mean seriously, do people trust somebody elses (a stranger, I might add) word on that amount of money?
