Orville Les Pauls...

Re: Orville Les Pauls...

I used to own an Epi Japan Les Paul Custom which was the same factory. Very nice guitar butnut owns it now, it was nice enough to make sure it stayed in the family so to speak.

The Orville by Gibson name is the top of the line, better trimings and woods as compared to the regular Orvilles. Do a search on eBay for guitargai he moves a lot of Orville stuff. Both Falstaff and I have purchased from him, a bit pricier than some but excellent plus to deal with.

Re: Orville Les Pauls...

I've actually only played an Orville once, and I was impressed. I trust Wattage and others greatly, so if they say the quality is top notch, I would agree. I know I sound like a broken record, but if you're considering spending in excess of $600 on an LP copy, check eBay for used Heritage guitars. It's as close as you can get to Gibson Custom Shop quality, and real 59' lp specs, for a fraction of the cost. I see superb used Heritages going on the bay all the time for under $900. It also helps keep money in the US. We all really need to do all of that we can. Hell, even I bought an American car, which I had sworn for years that I would not do.

Sorry to pontificate. Orville makes some great LP copies.
