Hi i am in process of buying my second acoustic guitar.... Been playing all sorts or music for the past four years, mostly play rock and a bit of fingerpicking too....
Narrowed down to the following to models... Both cost around INR 26000 ($420) in a local store....
The Ovation DJ Ashba, looks really cool with the awesome graphics... Plays really sweet, specially plugged in, sounds crisp and trebly... Downside, it lacks the bottom end, not too deep sounding (as all of ovations)... Also not sure of the top whether it is solid or laminate...
The Fender CD 280 SCE, jumbo body, deep resonant sound, rounder with a lot of bass... Fishman EQ... However not too crisp and sweet as the ovation... And yeah, solid spruce top...
If any of you guys own or have owned the above guitar(s) give me reason as to what i should (or shouldn't) go for and the reason why...
