I have had a few amps. A few Marshalls, a few Traynors, etc. I had some lame solid state Marshall amps when I first started playing 12 years ago. Then, I moved on to an AVT from Marshall, ok, but still not emotional. Then a friend of mine showed me Traynor amps. I bought 3 of them and loved them in the US before I moved to Greece. I miss the Traynor ways, my last being the the YCV-Custom Blue. 50 watts plus a master volume knob is tough to beat... however, here in Greece... in apartments that is just too much volume! So I bought a Laney Cub 12. My holy name, what a great amp! You can play it at full power or at 1 watt and it sounds great as an EL84 amp! Of course you can up it to 15 watts but try living in Greece with Greek neighbors first! This amp pounds!
