In the P-Rails option #2 wiring diagram....
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2_prails_1v_1t_tspp
.....I have 2 questions:

1. Is it correct that there are 12 switching combinations (if so...wow)?
2. In the middle position, is the information below correct?

BRIDGE POSITION:
Bridge parallel
Bridge series
Bridge rail
Bridge p-90

MIDDLE POSITION
Bridge + Neck humbucker Parallel ???
Bridge + Neck humbucker Series ???
Both P-90’s Parallel
Both Rails Parallel

NECK POSITION
Neck parallel
Neck series
Neck rail
Neck p-90

Re: P-Rail - option #2 wiring - 12 combinations

Yes. Its a lot of versatility with just two humbuckers. :)

That is all correct! Additionally, I used a five way switch with a classic stack pickup in the middle, and flip-flopped the leads for the middle and neck pickups, soooo I have (on the five way switch):

1. Middle
2. Middle + Neck
3. Neck
4. Neck+ Bridge
5. Bridge

plus all the series, parallel, p-90 and single coil options offered by the diagram above. Pretty much, a ridiculous amount of choices, and I can get pretty well any tone I want out of it!

Just for the sake of clarity, the bridge and neck are always in parallel in the middle position. The series/parallel switching affects the two coils of the pickup, but never places the bridge pickup in series with the neck pickup.

But yes, you got, 12 positions.

Absolutely right, sorry if I glossed over that...with the neck and bridge it would be:

Neck, in series with it self, in parallel with the bridge, which is in series with itself, and so on.

WOW! 12 possibilities!!!

Well I'm wiring them now into.... of all things, a Brian Moore i88.13 synth guitar. So when I finish, it will pretty much be the "Swiss Army Knife" of guitars.

My compliments on a very slick mod by simply switching a lead. I always wondered how one could get all the versatility out of two Prails along with using them with an extra pickup in between without using a ton of switches. You just solved that little conundrum for me. Thanks.

No problem, glad to help! Now you can repay me by switching your avatar picture! ;) If you like the bridge + middle combo more than the neck + middle, you can always do:

1: Neck
2: Neck + Bridge
3: Bridge
4: Bridge + Middle
5: Middle

I just figure that a strat-style NEEDS neck + middle to exist!
