P-Rail with E model Megaswitch

I like the wiring diagrams SD provided for the P-Rail, but I would like to use a 5 way switch. StewMac has a 5 position E model, and P model, megaswitch which gets most pickup combinations. I guess I would need a push pull to get all the pickup combinations? Any suggestions on how to do this? Anyone using either of these switches with a P-Rail?

P-Model Megaswitch is for two humbucking pickups. This 5-way lever-action switch duplicates the combinations of Paul Reed Smith's rotary control. Positions:
1 Bridge pickup
2 Inner pickup coils, parallel
3 Outer coils, series
4 Outer coils, parallel
5 Neck pickup

Re: P-Rail with E model Megaswitch

You have a lot of options here. It would probably be easier if you told us exactly what configurations you'ld like to have. For example, do you want the P-90's in series? Or a P-90 in parallel with a rail? That kind of stuff. A Superswitch might be better.

Let us know.

The SD documentation states: "....the Rail coils, when used together, sound like the “2” and “4” positions in a great Strat."

I need to at least be able to get that really stratty 2/4 switch position, especially on a clean patch. So would that be inner coils parallel or series?

parallel, series won't quack as much, though I like 2 and 4 positions on Strats more in series because of there's less quack
