P-Rails and Hollowbodies.

I recently bought myself a beautiful Ibanez Artcore AS73, a little under $400 from guitar center. Nothing really wrong at all with the sound but I think having experienced the flexibility of the P-Rails in my Epiphone Les Paul that I probably will want to put those things in just about any guitar I ever have.

So, my question :

Has anybody tried P-Rails in a hollowbody? And if so, how did it go?

Here's my new baby, by the way :

Re: P-Rails and Hollowbodies.

I have prials in a semi hollow artcore am78T and they work fine in that.

A full hollow will be prone to a little more feedback, but just stand a bit further from the amp if that is a problem.

Personally, I tend to put different pups into my guitars so that I have a broader range of sounds to use.

+1. In HB mode, P-Rails would be too hot in a full hollowbody for me, as it would tend to override the acoustic overtones, and feedback easier.

I think full hollowbodies shine with PAF's or HB-sized P-90's.

Semi-hollows can go either way, with PAF's/P-90's, or with hot bridges.
