P-Rails HH Strat?

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

I'm not familiar with this pickup at all. What could I expect from it? Is it a good blues-classic rock setup?

When you say fun, what do you mean?

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

I have P-Rails in my Godin Icon. They would be great in a strat! As soon as i can afford it, I' getting a P-Rail/S/P-Rail loaded pick guard.

I have not put the Icon down since I bought it. The P-Rails are the most soulful sounding pick-up I've ever played. If you don't like sound,
flip the switch! The P-90 and Hot Rail Combined give me the best humbucker I've ever had. Very unique! The P-90 is a good as most if
not better and the rail is hotter than a stock Strat pup. Because of it's location, you need a little volume tweak on the single rail, but once
done, you'll forget all about those poles!

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

Aria Pro II with two 3-way switches in place of the volume and tone controls for bridge pickup. PRails are excellent sounding pickups.

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

Two P-Rails in a Strat would be the ultimate!!!

Go for it. I doubt that you would ever regret such a move.

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

I will as soon as i can afford it! I can't even imagine how great that would sound. They are great but a tad dark in my Mahogany Icon.
I would think alder would be the perfect medium for them.

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

Also, how would this compare in versatility to the Everything Axe?

They both kinda suck, however the P-Rails can put out a pretty good P90 sound. It will hum like a mofo, though.

A P-rails in parallel also has a pretty convincing very transparent clean sound for fingerpicking with chorus.

Re: P-Rails HH Strat?

Has anyone here used one of those P-Rail/SRV/ P-Rail pickgards in their Strats? How's they work? I think they be fabulous, but I would hate to spend all that money and then hate the outcome!
