P-Rails in an HSH strat: wiring question.

The SD website has a wiring diagram for HSH strats. A note is included that says the electric polarity (green and black wires) needs to be reversed when wiring SD Humbuckers and Fender middle pickups.

I'm now wiring two P-Rails into a strat with a Custom Shop EJ Fender middle pickup. Does the polarity of the P-Rails need to be reversed like a standard SD humbucker??

Yes, or just reverse the EJ middle single coil. The problem with reversing the phase of P-Rails is that now each coil selection becomes the opposite coil. In other words, if the wiring diagram you're following says that a certain switch position will yield the P90 coil, it will actually be yielding the Rail coil now that you've reversed phase.

I would flip the Fender pickup and then you'll know that all of our wiring diagrams will produce the desired results.
