P rails w/triple shot on SG

Love the idea of Putting P rails w/triple shot's on my Gibson SG however This SG has the "batwing" scratch plate. Has anyone ever tried this with the batwing on there? Or will I have to slice up this scratch plate? Or if advice leads me away from trying this I would appreciate any other ideas concerning "split coil's" much like the p-rails. I guess I could put in switches but that would involve drilling holes as well. Please advise.....

It looks it will overlap the pickguard on the neck slot but it seems doable. If that doesn't work you can try push pulls for splitting the P-rails.

There are people who have installed P-Rails over a Strat pickguard, so it is possible to do that.

You can set them on top of the guard no problem though there is a slight overlap at the front edge near the cutaways.

There you go!
Two of my guitars have pickguards and I have pickup mounting rings on both of them. I prefer it - it keeps the pickups slanted with the strings and keeps me from smacking the side of the pickup with the pick.

Re: P rails w/triple shot on SG

I would take the pickugard from SG, trace the TripleShot on it and cut it out, so it could be mounted directly to the body.

There are two extra benefits of it:
#1 You don't have to remove the whole pickguard to change the pickups
#2 the pickups are parallel to the strings, opposite to the standard pickguard mount
