P-Rails, what do they sound like?

This has probably been asked before, but what do the individual coils sound like? Are they normal standalone models put together? Or are they their own model used only on the P-Rail? I ask because the thought of it sounds great. I use a '59 in the neck of my SG and love it to death, but the PG in the bridge doesn't really do it for me any more. I really like the idea of having a p90 for a fatter single coil sound, a rail for a more strat-ish tone, and them together for something unique. But the description of them isn't really enough, as it doesn't specify what either of the coils sound like. There are hundreds of p90's and rails out there, so simply stating that it's a rail and a p90 together doesn't fly. Could someone give me a comparison as to what they are like?

Do a search on here and you'll find lots of info about the sound of P-Rails pups. A very great versatile pup IMO.

I'm a huge fan of P-Rails. If you search youtube for my channel "Via Gravis" you will find two videos featuring the regular and hot bridge pick-up respectively in my AM75. I'm a lousy guitar player so I have the talent switch activated on my amp, but I go through some of the different coil settings possible thanks to the Triple-Shots they are installed in. Now to upload a clip of my Les Paul bass loaded with a P-Rail in the neck.
