P-Rails wiring question.

I installed a single P-Rail in a guitar with a three way toggle and a single volume pot to no avail. I used the diagram from the website that shows how to wire up two and just used one side of the switch. I have a jumper wire giong across for the ground position, otherwise it seems right. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Re: P-Rails wiring question.

Well, what's not right about it? Are you only getting one half of the pickup? What are you going for?
Remember, the P-Rail is basically 2 2-conductor pickups on one baseplate - a Rail and a P-90 - so it's got to have both halves wired to get the full thing.

Re: P-Rails wiring question.

I'm still trying to figure it out. I have looked at a couple of different diagrams, and it seems to be right. I think it might be a grounding problem. I can't get any sound out of them at all yet.

Re: P-Rails wiring question.

I got it figured out finally. Bad 5 way switch. Worked on it till the wee hours of the night to get it strung and set up. I can't wait to put it through it's paces tonight.
