P90 bridge , Screamin demon in neck?

Hi all. Older guy, newer to guitar but a tone nut. My question, I bought a Railhammer P90 bridge PUP and its just sitting around, was thinking a screamin demon in the neck? The P90 is higher output for a P90, any thoughts? The guitar will be a mahogany LP style guitar. Or maybe try the P90 in the neck? I dont play tons of gain, just enough to where the harmonics seem to come on. Thanks in advance for any info all!My Baby.jpg

What kind of Hot Rails P90 are you talking about?

I feel like I used the Demon in the neck of a Les Paul awhile back, and it sounded good for heavy distortion. It would definitely be too hot for a neck pickup for me now.

Hey there, old tone nut. Here's a soon-not-to-be-young tone nut as well, and a lover of the Screamin' Demon.
I love me a Screamin' Demon in the neck!

It might be a bit hotter than vintage specs would dictate, but not by a drastic margin, plus the Demon isn't much of a compressed pickup, so I think you'll easily be able to match outputs with your playing strength and technique. And maybe cranking that P90 into the strings a bit. :D

Go for it. It won't hurt and I can assure you nobody else will be rocking that combination. Eclectic to say the least!

Why not a P-Rails in the neck? If I were to get a P-Rails, that's the first place I'd put it. With stronger string vibration, you'll likely find parallel and split to rail modes more useful than for the bridge.

I originally bought it for a bridge pup, I really did consider putting er in a neck instead. If I were to put this bridge p90 in the neck, thoughts on a bridge pup that might balance well? Thanks again

The P90 is the Railhammer Huevos Been sitting around a while, I got her cheap with my ebay bux certificate, just wanted to try something different

Sorry, I was suggesting you get the neck version of the P-Rails.

I find this combo both odd and intriguing.

Demon Neck
Hot P-90 in bridge....

Give it a spin. I have never done this, but love P-90's and I can see the Demon neck really work with that.

If not, just switch them around!
