P90 Question

Just got an SG classic and I've noticed when I play through the middle spot, there seems to be a volume drop off when I roll the treble volume up to about 7, and then when I push past that, the volume kicks back up. The guy I bought it from says that is attributable to the out of phase character of the middle selection, but I haven't experienced this with any of my old P90 guitars which include an R6, R4, another SG Classic and a PRS Soapbar. What do you think gives here?
BTW - the treble pup only does this when I'm playing the middle. When I play on the treble pup only, it sounds great.

Other than that it's quite a kick-ass guitar.

Re: P90 Question

So how would I go about fixing that?
It's a new guitar so I have the option of sending it back if it's a serious issue.

Re: P90 Question

Shoot a little contact cleaner in there just in case - otherwise new pot.

Re: P90 Question

I got an SG Classic too, and had some problems with the bridge pickup voume pot too, but I fixed it.

Still getting new/better electronics in a few months. Hope yours works out well- mine's great.
