hey dude i saw on another thread you are really impressed with the invader?
i have not had the chance to try one or put it up against the mighty DD?
I am really into the LOG ashes tone and i already have a mesa MK-IV
i see that mark uses a invader?
is he the one on ashes on the left channel? the left channel tone is KILLER!

I don't know whether Mark or Willie is on the right or left. I love the Invader, but I've seen Mark using a Dimebucker or JB in almost all his guitars. The Invader's tone doesn't make me think LOG, but it's a cool ass metal tone.

Give the Invader a shot, especially if you have a guitar made of alder, or one with a tremelo (or better, both). I don't think I'm ever gonna put anything else in my alder Charvel strat.

For the record, the only time I was not happy with how the Invader sounded was when I had it in an ESP, strung with 9's in standard tuning. However, I don't really like the tone of ANYTHING with 9's in standard

i play a ESP MII with 9-42's but tune down to Eb.
how is the invaders overall clarity compared to the DD?
I have to tell you that i really am into the DD after doing a comparison against
a 81,evo,jb,500xl,super d.
what would the INVADER have over the DD?

It's thicker than the Distortion. Somebody is gonna come on and say "and it's muddy as hell, too." Some think it's muddy, I don't. It's not as clear as the Distortion, but it's a hell of a lot louder, too.
