Painted my amp today

I had this for sale, but no takers.
Going to swap speakers out and keep it.
Took the grills off today and painted them green to match the power switch and the LED lights I installed inside the head... I think it looks wicked.

I noticed in the picture that the head logo was crooked, it's fixed now

cool man.

I found some of that stuff on a curb awhile back. I wanted to paint it black and cut it to put on my bass cab as an alternate grill. Any idea how to best cut it?

I'll be honest, I was leery to click a thread titled "Painted my amp today", but it looks good! Any pics with the LEDs on?

A big metal shear.
Or take it to any machine shop.
Or buy some handheld metal shears.
Or you could use a big cut off wheel.

Re: Painted my amp today

Out of curiosity, why are you swapping out the Texas Heats and Swamp Thangs?

Re: Painted my amp today

Yep, trying to go with celestion g12t 75's or vintage 30's, or maybe both. These swamp Thangs and Texas Heats are sooooo loud and tight.
The band I'm in now is going to sound better with fat and saggy.....

Re: Painted my amp today

You starting a Poison Tribute?

Oh gosh no! I hate those pussies!
Was thinking more Obituary slowly we rot kinda green... Or maybe a megadeth no more Mr nice guy toxic radioactive slime green.

As you will. I suppose I just tend to prefer loud and tight. I wish I could have been able to take that setup off your hands, but as it's said "if wishes were horses..."

Re: Painted my amp today

I know you are looking for V30s and G12T-75s but look into WGS, I have ordered 2 WGS Veteran 30s and I am very excited to try them :)

Re: Painted my amp today

I have been looking at those WGS speakers pretty hard actually.... Might mix and match... We'll see if there are any takers on my eminence speakers in the trading post.

Actually I have a WGS in my Marshall cabinet, it fits in well with the other speakers, Celestions
