Painting pickups?

Re: Painting pickups?

So you can get them, and they look awesome. But it is a Custom Shop thing.

How would I go about ordering a custom JB TB-4 with Purple and black bobbins from the custom shop then? I'm a bit nooby and can't seem to find the options for doing that online.
Would it be as simple as going to my countries distributor an ordering one through them in person?

Re: Painting pickups?

I contacted Duncan a long time ago, and was told the goofy colors were only available in standard spaced pickups. If this is still the case, it's ridiculous as the kinda people who want goofy colored pickups also probably have Floyds.

Yes, outside of the US, this is exactly what you'd do!

Re: Painting pickups?

JB_From_Hell is suggesting that I wouldn't be able to get the color I want with a JB Trembucker. Do you know if that's true or not? ^^

If you order from the Custom Shop, they can build anything you want- that is what they do.

...except for Double Cream ;)

Have you cracked the covers on anything from the custom shop....or production floor, for that matter. [emoji6][emoji6][emoji6]

Be sure to use a dremel when you remove that cover, right Mincer? [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Re: Painting pickups?

i wondered what that was about. Is it a joke or can you legitimately not order double cream? haha

Depends on the company you're ordering from and the person you deal with at that company.

Some places just don't worry about it for the random order here and there.
